Toggleπ’ JAMB Fixes June 28 for 2025 UTME Mop-Up Exam
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially scheduled Saturday, June 28, 2025, for the conduct of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.
In a statement released by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMBβs Public Communications Adviser, the Board confirmed that 96,838 candidates are expected to participate in the mop-up exam.
π¨βπ Who Will Be Writing the Mop-Up Exam?
The breakdown of the candidates includes:

5,096 spill-over candidates from previous sessions

Candidates who experienced biometric verification issues during the main UTME

91,742 candidates who were absent from both the main exam and the rescheduled sessions
π Slip Printing and Exam Logistics
Candidates are advised to begin printing their exam notification slips from Monday, June 23, 2025, to confirm their assigned exam centres and times.
The mop-up exam will be held in 183 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. JAMB also confirmed that some candidates will be placed on standby in case of any last-minute logistics adjustments.
β οΈ Exam Integrity and Centre Delisting
Reaffirming its commitment to examination integrity, JAMB disclosed it has delisted 113 CBT centres over technical issues and involvement in malpractice. These centres are now under investigation, and institutions or individuals found guilty will be prosecuted.
Dr. Benjamin also noted that some exam towns have been deactivated, and affected candidates will be relocated to the nearest available town. JAMB urged affected candidates to be understanding and cooperative.

The Board revealed that investigations have uncovered malpractice syndicates involving:

A small number of JAMB officials
JAMB expressed gratitude to the State Security Service (SSS), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for their support in exposing identity fraud and impersonation cases.
In cases where undergraduate students were caught impersonating others, JAMB warned that:

They may face expulsion for violating their matriculation oath
