Federal Fire Service Opens 2025 Recruitment Portal — Apply Now
The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has officially launched its 2025 recruitment exercise, opening the application portal for interested and qualified Nigerians seeking employment in the federal service.
The recruitment announcement was made by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), inviting suitable candidates across the country to apply for full-time appointments into various positions within the fire service.
“This recruitment exercise is for full-time appointments across different cadres within the Federal Fire Service,” the CDCFIB stated. “The application process is entirely free. Applicants should avoid anyone requesting payment.”
Available Categories and Positions
The 2025 recruitment is organized into three main categories:
Category A – General Duty:
- Assistant Superintendent of Fire I (ASF I) – CONPASS 09
- Assistant Superintendent of Fire II (ASF II) – CONPASS 08
Category B – Inspectorate Cadre:
- Inspector of Fire (IF) – CONHESS 06
- Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF) – CONPASS 06
Category C – Assistant Cadre:
- Fire Assistant II (FA II) – CONPASS 04
- Fire Assistant III (FA III) – CONPASS 03
- Positions include: General Duty, Drivers, Appliance Operators, and Artisans
General Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen by birth
- Possess the relevant educational qualifications
- Present original academic and professional certificates at the recruitment centre (documents submitted after the deadline will not be accepted)
- Be physically and mentally fit, with a Certificate of Medical Fitness from a recognized government hospital
- Have no record of criminal conviction or financial misconduct
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Meet the minimum height requirement: 1.65 meters for males and 1.60 meters for females
- Male applicants must have a chest measurement of at least 0.87 meters
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
